Four GRP biathletes competed in the 8th World Cup of the season at the Holmenkollen ski stadium in Oslo, Norway. This will be the final World Cup of the season for US Biathlon as they have chosen to boycott World Cup Finals in Tyumen, Russia due to Russia’s lack of compliance with the World Anti-Doping Code.

In the women’s sprint, Susan Dunklee put together a strong race placing 4th and shooting clean. She was only 35 seconds back from race winner Anastasiya, Kuzmina of Slovakia. Clare Egan was the next American woman across the line in 68th with three misses. She was followed by Emily Dreissigacker in 83rd, also with three misses. On the men’s side, Alex Howe finished 89th with four misses.

In the women’s relay race, Clare, Susan, and Emily were joined by USBA teammate Joanne Reid. Clare scrambled and tagged off to Susan. Emily was the anchor leg. The team placed 15th with 2 penalty laps and 14 spares.

Susan was the only US woman to qualify for the pursuit. She had another great race moving up one spot to land on the podium in 3rd with only two misses.
