Many of our BKL’ers and juniors, as well as GRP alums, contested Saturday’s annual Craftsbury Marathon. The race was on a 16k loop, and racers could go around once, twice, or three times for 16k, 33k, or 48k.

The younger racers did one lap of the 16k loop but were still treated to the same challenging terrain as the rest of the participants. Finn Sweet was victorious in the men’s 16k, while Claire Ellis was 8th (5th junior) in the women’s race. The BKL race was a sea of green with 16 of our BKL’ers toeing the line! Trey Jones was 1st across the line and Cormac Leahy was close behind in 3rd. Orion Cenkl was 10th, Linden Stelma Leonard 11th, Leo Circosta 12th, and Charlie Krebs 13th. Owen Jones was 16th and Sage Grossi was 17th. A gaggle of friends crossed the line in close succession with Amelia Circosta in 21st, Anika Leahy in 22nd, Isabel Linton in 23rd, and Ruth Krebs in 24th. Charlie Kehler was 27th and Finn Tower-Pierce was 33rd. Like good friends do, Siri Dunn and Emily Linton tied for 39th.

Two juniors contested the two lap 33k course. Griffin Wright was 9th (6th junior) and Jack Young was 11th (7th junior). Mikail Tipton was the lone CNSC junior to brave the three lap 48k. He was the 3rd junior and 44th overall!

The top ranks of the three lapper was full of GRP alums. Nils Koons won, while Pat O’Brien tied for 3rd and Ethan Dreissigacker was 9th. Hannah Dreissigacker was the first woman across the line.
