'22 Beijing Olympic Viewing Guide
The 2022 Beijing Olympic Games are right around the corner and the Green Racing Project’s five qualified athletes will soon travel to China. The GRP’s Olympic biathletes - Susan Dunklee, Clare Egan, Jake Brown, and Hallie Grossman (alternate) - will compete at the National Biathlon Center in the Zhangjiaukou Olympic zone which is located about 180 kilometers northwest of Beijing. Caitlin Patterson, the GRP’s Olympic skier, will race at the National Cross-Country Center, also in the Zhangjiakou zone.
The first Biathlon and Cross-Country Ski events will take place on the first day of medal competitions - February 5th - the day after the Opening Ceremonies. With the 13 hour time difference between Beijing and Craftsbury, most events will be taking place between 2:00 and 4:00am EST. With a Peacock Premium subscription, you can livestream and watch replays of every medal event, including biathlon and cross-country. NBC, USA, and the Olympic Channel will also air a mix of live events and replays. To help plan your viewing, here is a guide to the Olympic coverage that includes GRP athletes. We will do our best to update this guide when specific race rosters are finalized (this often happens last minute and is up to coaches’ discretion) or schedules are changed. Please note that there are two tabs at the bottom of this spreadsheet - biathlon and cross-country.
