Yoga has always played big role in all our camps, but this offering strengthens that connection with daily yoga options. The yoga curriculum for the week will focus on increasing our range of motion, improving balance, rehabilitating injuries and opening tight places. On the track, trails, and roads, we'll cover a broad range of topics from specific workouts, form/technical considerations, broader training principles, strength, conditioning and lots more - all through the lens of applying our yoga lessons to our running, and vice versa. Craftsbury Outdoor Center is pleased to announce its first ever cross country running camp for high schoolers. This camp offers 5 days and 4 nights of instruction. During the week, participants will enjoy track training, hill work, drills, fartlek and tempo work as well as a long run on the most beautiful loop in Vermont. Classroom presentations will include nutrition, training physiology, race day skills and more - all led by one of the greats of American running, Lynn Jennings. Our running season ends with Foliage and Running sessions timed to coincide with the peak of Vermont's striking fall color. While there's never a bad time to visit the Center, autumn is spectacular in the Northeast Kingdom. The Center's trails are ablaze with color, Big Hosmer is warm for swimming, the air is crisp, striking fall color surrounds you, and additional opportunities to explore the region in the afternoons make these camps especially memorable.
